 Deliveries

Orders placed before 1pm on a weekday will be dispatched same day with delivery in 1-2 working days with An Post.

Orders to Northern Ireland ship with DPD within 2-3 working days. Orders to mainland UK may take 3-4 working days.

How we deliver

We ship with both An Post for the Republic of Ireland. Like all couriers as of now, they use diesel vans. Electric delivery vans are just coming into existence but are not in Ireland yet. DPD are carbon-neutral because they offset their emissions by investing in renewable energy in the developing world, and are always investing in lower-emission vans. We all know offsetting isn't the answer but it's as sustainable as it gets for delivery now. An Post city delivery is also carbon-neutral, and there are a few new couriers with "eco" in their titles, but they're all doing just the same as DPD.

Delivery costs

For retail customers, we subsidise shipping costs to the following:

  • Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland:
    • €4.95 with An Post (ROI only) for orders under €150;
    • Free for orders over €150.
  • Northern Ireland: €6.95
  • Mainland UK: £9.99;
  • Other countries: Varies by weight - we ship with An Post registered post and just pass-on the cost per our contract with them - this will be calculated for you at checkout.

Delivery lead time

Orders to anywhere on the island of Ireland placed before noon on a weekday will 95% of the time arrive in 1-2 working days with An Post, or 2-3 working days to Northern Ireland with DPD. Orders to mainland UK may take 4-5 working days.

Unless you chose a (clearly indicated on our website) pre-order item, in which case your order will dispatch once that is restocked, usually within a week.

You will receive a notification email when your order is on the way.

Taxes and charges

Additional taxes and charges may be applicable to orders leaving Ireland. The customer is responsible for the charges in full.

Packaging

We use minimal packaging while also making sure that your items arrive in perfect condition. We pack plastic-free - using cardboard boxes and paper tape. We re-use packaging we receive (which is also plastic-free - we don't accept plastic in our supply chain).

Returns

We do our very best to ensure that your items reach you in perfect condition. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order to resolve any issues.

If there's no issue but you've just changed your mind, you can return any unused item in exchange for either what you paid for the item, or an alternative item. EU law allows 14 days to tell us you want to return it, and a further 14 days to get the item to us. To submit a return contact us at hello@jiminy.ie. Refunds will be processed when the item is returned in original condition. Return and exchange shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
